◆ 전화하기

9. He's on another line.
(그는 다른 전화를 받고 있습니다.)

Tip : 전화로 찾는 사람이 다른 전화를 받고 있는 경우에는 another line이나 another phone이란 말 앞에 전치사 on을 써서 다음과 같이 표현하게 된다.

Model Dialog

A: Is Mr. Grigsby available?
B: I'm sorry, he's on another line right now.
Can you hold for a moment?
A: I'm afraid I can't. Could you tell him that
Mr. Kim called?
B: Yes.

A: 그릭스비 씨 계십니까?
B: 죄송합니다만 지금 다른 전화를 받고 계십니다.
잠시만 기다리시겠습니까?
A: 기다릴 수가 없습니다. 미스터 김한테서 전화왔었다고
전해 주시겠습니까?
B: 그러죠.
