Packing & Dispatch (포장과 발송)

상품이 발송되면 공급자는 구매자에게 무엇을 보냈으며, 언제, 어떤 운송수단으로 보냈는지를 언급한 통지서나 서신을 보내야 한다. 송장이 우편으로 보내진 경우에는 그것이 통지서 역할을 하므로 따로 통지할 필요가 없다. 구매자는 상품의 배달이 진행되고 있음을 알고, 그것을 접수하기 위해 필요한 준비를 할 수 있어야 한다.

발송 통지서는 완전한 형식을 갖춘 것도 있지만, 상품자체에 보충적인 참고사항을 덧붙이는 것으로 대신하는 경우도 있다.

만약 판매조건에 배달이 포함되어 있지 않으면 판매자로부터 구입한 상품을 인수해가는 것은 구매자의 의무이며, 상품을 넘겨받은 이후에는 상품에 영향을 줄 수도 있는 어떠한 손실이나, 피해 등에 대해서도 구매자가 책임을 져야한다. 다만 구매조건에 배달이 포함되어 있는 경우에는 배달 과정에서 생긴 문제는 판매자측이 책임을 져야한다.

Sample Letter 1 : Request for shipping instructions

We are pleased to confirm that the 120 "Universal" VCRs you ordered on 15th October are now ready for dispatch.
